I have absolutely been loving the versatility of clay! I recently invested in a huge pack of polymer clay to make some alphabet magnets for M. (Huge hit, by the way…) They come in such a rainbow of colors and can be worked so many ways.

I started off with NO TOOLS (though I just bought the tools five minutes ago, I figured I’m better off with a set, since I plan to do PLENTY of clay crafting.)

I’ve also been toying with Crayola air dry clay. It’s super fun – a bit messier to handle, as it’s more like pottery clay – but it’s great for larger scale projects. If you’re looking for an air dry clay that’s more like polymer, you can go for air dry Sculpey clay – it’s a great lightweight alternative. I mean, it feels like air. I made chunky stud earrings with them and they weight next to nothing.
