I’m a stay at home single mom who also works from home. I LOVE seeing my son grow up -being present for all of his “1st moments”. I have to admit there are days I don’t get much done, thus resulting in many late nights. I rarely get a break and am working on that but I can understand both sides of this coin. We all win and lose.

I was a working mum but when my second daughter appear i decided it’s time for me to be a stay at home mum. Truly I am somewhere in between now. Trying to make a bit of extra cash for my girls and I while daddy is working away. And it is ok. I get to see my girls whenever they are not in school and although it can be exhausting sometimes I absolutely love it!

This is so true!!! Or biggest worry is finances with me staying home, yet childcare is so expensive it’s almost as though they would have canceled each other out! Plus, the fear of someone else raising your child…. So many decisions! I’m happy with my choice to stay home but will be happy to go back to work once my son is in school!

I was a working single mom and now I’m a stay at home mom. I have to say I miss the adult time but kid/baby time is so much more intriguing!

“A funny saying is ‘working mother’
When baby comes, there is no other”.

Some need to work outside the home for emotional health, others need the income support, and others need the social benefits that getting out and away from baby 24/7 gives them.

As you stated, no one way is right for every single person. And don’t knock those who choose or have to work.

I’ve been a stay at home mom for almost 23 years. My youngest is 2 now and I wouldn’t change a thing! It’s crazy at times, but I believe it’s where I’m supposed to be!

In reply to Alyssa @ Arts and Crackers. I agree with you! I wanted to leave the "vent" side out of this article, since I wanted it to be from an objective point of view. But on a personal note as a part time work at home mom, the loneliness is the hardest part.
