Apparently, it only works with older cars that have metal bottoms. Some moms fixed this by gluing magnets to the bottoms of the cars.

    1. Hi Daralee – I apologize, this is an old post so I went back to look, but can’t seem to find it either. It looks like it came from a list-style post similar to this. I looked into it further, and it seems that the original source is no longer online. I’m going to leave this up, just to keep it there as inspiration, but unfortunately, I can’t provide a tutorial for this exact one. I did scout out some similar projects that you can probably adapt:

  1. My husband is an avid collector of 1969 camaro dycast cars. We gave 5 curio cabinets full of hundreds of all sizes of cars from. Micro matchbox size to the big scale cars.

  2. My fiance collects Hot Wheels. He has so many, i want to make something to display them all. I want to surprise him. He has at least 250 if not more.

  3. I have had my shoe rack shelves for years – at least 10. Everyone who has dropped by in the last decade or so loves this simple idea. One of the least expensive ways to display your toy cars there is.
